This Is the One Thing
Here is the one thing that has changed a daughter and her father forever.
That Picture of You
A warning about using YouTube!
So as we discussed last week, we all know the power of Video Marketing.
For the first time EVER, we all have the same power as being on American Idol by just using a cheap video cam, like the ones right on our smart phones.
If there’s any doubt in your mind about that, just go ask Justin Bieber. (He was “discovered” on YouTube)
So don’t get me wrong, I LOVE YouTube, and you need to be using this massive & FREE tool….
But there’s a HUGE MISTAKE that a lot of people make on YouTube that you need to know about.
1. Posting your video on YouTube and then sending people directly to it is a cool way to use YouTube.
It’s a great way of getting MASSIVE FREE TRAFFIC.
2. When you put a video on your blog, Facebook, or any other page, I strongly recommend that you NOT use the YouTube player to do so.
Here’s why.
This first picture is a video I saw on a blog. As you can see by the red arrow, when you use the YouTube video to post on your blog, Facebook, or ANY other webpage, the “YouTube” button will be at the bottom of your video.
HERE’S THE PROBLEM WITH THAT…..
When somebody clicks on the YouTube logo, it takes them straight to the YouTube website. (Now they have left your website)
And it brings up a situation that you just need to be aware of…..
Once someone is on the YouTube site, they show how many views the video has had. And to be quite candid, you may or may not want to disclose that information.
An example of this is in this 2nd picture. When I clicked on the logo in the first picture, it then took me to the YouTube page where the video was hosted, and as we can see, right at the bottom of the video is the number of “views” that everyone can now see.
Well once you learn how to get your views higher, those numbers will be a trophy to share. However in the beginning, you may want to “hold those cards to your chest”.
I got an email from somebody and they said something like, “Go watch my video that so many people have been commenting on….”
Then when I got to his blog, it was like 8 views of the video…
Don’t get me wrong, I applaud the guy for getting off the couch and actually doing something, I would just be honest about how many people have watched the video.
Or I would just not say anything about the number of views (ALWAYS be truthful), and I would use a video posting tool other than YouTube – one that hid the number of views.
Do you follow me here?
YES, do videos! YES, it’s ok to start out with low views until you learn the secrets for getting massive views. Just don’t use the YouTube posting tool on your other sites. Use one of the many other ones.
And YES, use YouTube, but only to grab all the free traffic that is on that site.
So your video will be posted 2 ways….
#1: Your Facebook page and Blog via a video service that doesn’t show the counts to send out to your friends, family, and prospects….
#2: On YouTube to grab all that free traffic where it doesn’t matter that the view counter is always showing.
By the way, we have a complete YouTube training course that you can try for just $97. It will show you a TON of secrets, just like this one I just shared with you here
Go try it right now, and you’ll also get full access to my entire video marketing program for that same $97. (Yeah, crazy I know, but I just want to see you doing videos and want to help you make this killer business building tool a reality for you too

Oh, and you also have my full permission to use the video marketing training and the YouTube training to teach to your referral partners.
They will LOVE you for it. I have been in front of thousands of agents in the last couple of years showing them how to do this stuff, now you can too, and that’s a good thing!

Simple Formula For Video Marketing Scripts
Video Marketing For LO’s: Here’s What You Say….
“Ok Carl, I get it, I know video marketing would get me more deals, but I still haven’t started it…” I get this kind of message all the time.
Look, I don’t need to sit here and write some lame article
about “Why you need to do video marketing…”
We all already know about how much of an impact that it has to your clients.
Think about watching a TV program, then when it’s time for an advertisement to
come on, how silly would it be that Nike would pop up a text article that you
were supposed to read on the screen… you know, a “Free Report”. Of course
that would absolutely bomb in comparison to a “video commercial” where in 30
seconds they:
1. Tell a story
2. Tell you “what they have”
3. Tell you “How it will benefit you”
4. Tell you “Here’s what you need to do next (buy their product)
So the issue isn’t “Should you be doing it”… “So then what is it?” you are asking yourself…
For many it’s the issue of “What should I say?”
Here’s a little secret formula that I will share with you that will answer that question once and for all.
It’s a simple 4 step process, and here it is.
Step #1: Go to where your crowd is, let’s say real estate agents or other professionals that you want referrals from (ie… email list, Facebook group, Linkedin) and ask them this one simple question: “What is your #1 problem in your business today?” Another version of that question is: “What is the #1 thing you want help with?”
If you are going consumer direct, simple ask “What is your #1 question you have about buying or selling real estate now?’
Step #2: Google the very same question that they responded back to you with and see the different answers that come up. Then use that information, combined with your own knowledge to provide an answer to their question.
Step #3: Turn on your simple smart phone (which has a killer video camera by the way) and use a script of: “Hey, a lot of you have been asking about ____________. Here’s a quick solution to that <answer that question based on your experience and what you found on reputable sites using Google>. Follow that part of the video with a 30 second “call to action” which is simply an offer for what you do and telling them how to contact you. This entire video is only around 2 to 4 minutes!!
Step #4: Post that video in the Facebook Group, Facebook Fan Page, YouTube, and your own page (all these are completely free resources with a MASSIVE audience).
Wasn’t that easy!!!
I know, I know, we all want to complicate it, but really, that’s all there is
to it!!
Now, you are seen as the person who is helping them solve their problems, which is a very cool person to be seen as.
And you now can do it using the media that they want to “consume” your information, VIDEO, not the same old style free report that everybody else is doing, and your crowd doesn’t.
Ok, gotta go right now, I’m heading to a “Think Tank” in a small Southern California town where I’m sharing more video “How To’s”.

Tips for great content on YouTube

I think YouTube is one of the greatest opportunities for people who create video content that is existed in out lifetime. It is such an enormous audience and its global. So what are my tips for creating content on YouTube? First of all, understand the audience that you are targeting. If you do not have a good sense of who that content is suppose to be reaching, your not going to be successful in the content creation. Then simply send out a survey using a simple free service like SurveyMonkey.com (not an affiliate of mine, that’s just who I use) with a simple question:
Third, you need to recognize that it is a global platform, and what might be pertinent to an audience here locally or domestically might not be pertinent to “the big audience”. So you need to take into account that people all over the country, or even all over the world could stumble across this content and look at it . And how are you going to appeal to that global audience? So remember to “think big” as you are preparing your YouTube content.
Lastly, one thing you need to understand, is that the audience that is looking at YouTube on mobile devices is growing everyday. That is important because not only does it effect the way you shoot and the way you edit but it also conceptually effects the way that you create the content because recognizing that it will be seen on mobile devices. What this means is, keep your videos simple, and make sure that you are close enough to the camera that they can clearly see your face when they are watching your video on a mobile device.
So, if you follow those four points you are going to have a lot of success creating original content and generating more leads, traffic, and sales on YouTube.
Just a quick FYI, there is an entire course on how to maximize Youtube to actually get more closings, more clients, Help, Their House is on fire!
